ABOUT ZOE KING
Born on Norfolk.
Trained in clinical science.
I'm a qualified clinical naturopath with a Bachelor of Naturopathy from Southern Cross University, and I'm the only practising naturopath on Norfolk Island. I work with women who are tired of being handed a prescription and a six-month wait.

I left a system that felt rushed and dismissive to build something slower and more honest — the kind of practice I'd want to walk into myself.
MY STORY
Lived experience,
then the clinical training to match it.
Naturopathy found me at twenty-one, in Lismore, in the middle of yet another bronchial infection. My sister handed me my first herbal tincture — chased with a Coca-Cola to kill the taste of the Andrographis — and within a day I was well. Within the week I was enrolled at Southern Cross University, graduating in 2016. Herbal medicine pulled me off the antibiotic roundabout, and I've never forgotten what that felt like.
Then I became a mum, and fell through the cracks of my own perinatal care. That's where the advocacy comes from — why my consultations run seventy-five minutes instead of fifteen. Not because it's a nice touch, but because the answer is usually somewhere in the part of the story nobody has had time to hear yet.
My work is investigative. I read pathology properly, look at disease risk, microbial imbalance and environmental exposure, and treat what the evidence actually supports. Where something sits outside my scope, I refer, and I work alongside your GP rather than around them.
WHAT I STAND ON
Three non-negotiables
01
Individualised care
Your history, your circumstances, your goals. Meaningful healthcare can't be built on generic advice or a protocol someone else wrote for a body that isn't yours.
02
Clinical integrity
Evidence-informed practice, ongoing education and careful interpretation. Recommendations made with honesty and nuance — including the honest “I don't know yet”.
03
Practical wellness
Health support should be achievable and sustainable, not overwhelming or perfection-driven. Strategies that survive a working week, a sick child and a bad night's sleep..
ISLAND PRACTICE
Why remote care has to be different
On Norfolk, a specialist appointment can mean a flight. Pathology goes off-island. Pregnancies leave at thirty-six weeks. Care that ignores all of that isn't care — it's a plan that only works on the mainland.
So I plan around the logistics: batching tests before a trip, working with what the island dispensary can actually stock, and collaborating with the local health community rather than around it. For clients elsewhere, telehealth runs on exactly the same model.

Let's start with a proper conversation
Seventy-five minutes, your whole history, and a plan you can actually follow. Or send a message first — I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right person.
